Partnership for Social Services (PSS) Consumer Choice Food Pantry

The Partnership for Social Services Pantry is located at 48 Wyker Road in Franklin. The food pantry is open Monday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's and Friday’s from 10:00am-2:00pm. Low income families and individuals are eligible to visit our “Consumer Choice” Food Pantry a maximum of two times each month. The PSS Food Pantry allows individuals and families to choose their own groceries, using a point system that is based on family size, income, and monthly expenses.  Clients are allowed to go through the aisles with a shopping cart pick products off the shelf, much as they would at a typical supermarket.  This gives them a sense of ownership, empowerment, respect and dignity, in allowing them to choose products’ that most meet their individual family needs.

Many of our clients are minimum-wage earners who stretch income to cover expenses such as rent, gas and electric and medical bills. The families are single moms TANF, senior citizens, individuals on disability, the homeless, veterans, or simply working class citizens who don’t make enough to meet monthly expenses. The food pantry utilizes a point system; the majority of clients are serviced in collaboration with the Meals on Wheels Program to seniors; providing food packages for the frail and homebound elderly.

The Thrift Store at Partnership for Social Services offers a variety of new and used items for men women and children. The items for sale include: clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, children’s’ toys and small household appliances. The Veteran’s Clothing Closet is also located at our Partnership for Social Services Food Pantry. It is a place for our male and female Veterans to get back on their feet. We provide FREE clothing, hygiene, products and small household items for our Veterans. Whether you are looking for a single pair of jeans or a full suit for a job interview, the Veteran’s Clothing Closet has you covered.
